Why I Created These Conversation Cards
As a mum of three young kids, I know the daily mealtime juggle all too well. Getting little ones to sit, stay, eat, try new foods, choose a plate, stop wandering off, stop getting distracted, stop asking for dessert before dinner — it can feel endless, messy, and honestly exhausting.
But I noticed something powerful.
When we sit together, talk about our day, and chat about the food on our plates, everything shifts. Our kids stay at the table longer, eat more of their meal, and actually enjoy connecting with each other. For years we’ve asked the same simple question every night: “What are you grateful for today?” It has sparked the most beautiful conversations.
That one question inspired me to create more — age‑appropriate, open‑ended prompts that help families connect mindfully at mealtime. And that’s how these cards were born. They pair perfectly with our stainless steel tableware to support calmer, more connected family meals.
A Tradition Worth Passing On
Growing up, my family of four always ate dinner together. No TV, no phones, no distractions. We talked, we listened, we connected — and now as an adult, I’m so grateful my parents created that space for us. We’re still incredibly close today.
I want the same for my kids, especially in a world that feels busier and noisier than ever. In our home, mealtime connection is a priority — including talking about all types of feelings.

These are amazing! Every dinner at the dinner table, these cards are now requested. I have had to limit how many cards are used due to them loving them so much. Even my 4 year old ASD son gets involved.
